Moving the city, Kiruna

Client: LKAB, Kiruna Kommun

In Kiruna, RSD in collaboration with Janne Sandahl Consulting and NIRAS has investigated, among other things, how sales in the existing stores in today’s Kiruna center will be affected by the upcoming move to the new Kiruna center. RSD has produced a master plan in which today’s existing and additional stores and businesses have been placed out so that the new city center will function both commercially and in terms of urban planning. Non-commercial activities, residential and parking locations have also been investigated.
